Attention: All Local Artists!
The Reed T. Cooper Bursary in Visual Arts is here to support local artists

Deadline for applications is September 30 (or earlier). Now is the time to work on your submissions!!

Please note that artists are now required to submit FOUR copies of their application and supporting material in order to be considered for the Bursary.

The Bursary can be used for many different types of projects
Any professional artist who is a resident of Dufferin County, member of DAC, and who has worked for 5 years as an artist, is welcome to apply. Many different types of media are eligible, including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, fibre arts, glass, wood, photography and digital/computer generated art.

All applications will be carefully and respectfully considered by a selection committee comprised of a member of the Cooper family, immediate Past President of the Dufferin Arts Council Board, a working artist from Dufferin County not applying for the bursary and the recipient of the previous year's bursary.

It's now even easier to apply

Eligible artists are asked to complete a simple form, providing contact information and project details. The form can be printed off from DAC's website, or can be picked-up at the Dufferin County Museum and Archives. Supporting materials, such as photos, may be submitted with the application form at the artist's discretion. Completed application forms can be submitted by mail to the Dufferin Arts Council, or dropped-off in person at the Dufferin County Museum and Archives.

The deadline to submit applications each year is September 30. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year between January 1 and September 30.

For more information:
Visit the Dufferin Arts Council website at www.dufferinartscouncil.com. On the website you will find an Information Sheet about the Bursary, as well as a new and simple Application Form that you can print off and complete.
